Pamper-In-Place with Number 4 Hair Care + Giveaway!

I don’t know about you, but during these times of uncertainty, I am finding that self-care is more important than ever. Since most spas and salons are closed right now, I wanted to share some ideas from Number 4 High Performance Hair Care on how you can pamper-in-place:

I was recently given the opportunity to try products from the Olive + M line and was so excited to do so! Let me first tell you that I love their mission. They were created from the belief that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body. To me, that is so important! Olive + M believes in being radiant by nature. 

Now, I have to be honest with you, I was a bit skeptical at first since I knew that these products were oil-based. My skin tends to be on the oily side at times during the summer months, so I was afraid that these products would make them even more oily. Boy, was I wrong! Even though all of the Olive + M products are olive oil-based products that contain natural, plant-based ingredients, these factors all help to create a brighter complexion while diminishing those fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, they help to protect against environmental stressors like pollution, and they even help to fight acne and unwanted bacteria. 

Olive + M Cleansing Oil– This oil dissolves dirt and bacteria on your face while nourishing your skin with a natural blend of antioxidants, vitamins, omegas and amino acids. I also love how it smells! It is filled with the aroma of warm, fresh floral and herbal notes with an airy citrus finish.

One of the things that I noticed right away with the cleansing oil was just how much impurities that it removed. It really does a fantastic job of getting rid of makeup and all of the buildup from each day, without much effort on your part. 

Olive + M Face Oil– I know what you are probably thinking, you are going to moisturize your skin with face oil? That was my reaction at first as well, but let me tell you, this product is amazing! In fact, Olive + M Face Oil is their number one best seller! To me, that says a lot about a product! This Face Oil is light, natural formula is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, omegas and amino acids, and it leaves your complexion soft and glowing. In addition, it also smells so divine!  It is full of rich notes of a blend of green, floral notes and light woody facets with aromatic, minty touches. I really love how this product makes my face feel. It is not oily or greasy and dries to a nice dewy appearance. If you try one product from Olive + M, I highly recommend that you give this one a try! 

Olive + M Body Oil– Who doesn’t love a good body oil? This one from Olive + M is fantastic! Olive + M Body Oil is a concentrated blend of pink grapefruit, bergamot and clary sage. Yes, it smells heavenly! I like to apply Olive + M Body Oil right after I get out of the shower. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized. You can even apply a few drops in a hot bath if you prefer. I haven’t tried that yet, but plan to very soon!

Review of Kabillion the Free VOD Network for Kids!

Are you familiar with Kabillion? Kabillion is a totally FREE Video on Demand network for kids that gives families access to kabillions of amazing shows all on one kid-friendly platform! Kabillion stands out as a reliable and safe destination for quality children’s entertainment – a place where parents can feel good about their children spending time. In fact, this outstanding platform is the only independently-owned VOD network to be ranked among the Top 10 Kids Free On Demand networks in the U.S.! As a parent, I feel that it is hard to find good, quality programming on television these days, so I love the options that Kabillion gives me! My family and I recently were sent a Roku Stick so that we could try out Kabillion for ourselves, and my boys loved it! 

What shows are available on Kabillion? Kabillion serves up a wide range of popular animated content for preschoolers through the school-age set. From classic series for the whole family like Bobby’s World and Gumby, to kid favorites such as My Little Pony, Transformers, and Pokemon. They even offer shorts likeCloudbabies and BabyRiki! My son Brady especially loves the LEGO shows that are available! With Kabillion, there is SO much for kids to learn and discover!

It has never been easier to watch all these great shows and shorts, as Kabillion can be accessed a “million” different ways! The network is available as a free VOD service with most major cable providers, and for families who have cut the cord or may be planning to, Kabillion is also accessible as a free app on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV.

With the summer months almost here, our children will be indoors for many hours. It is so important that they will be watching quality programming. With Kabillion, I can feel good about what my boys are watching. I also love that Kabillion is regularly adding new programming to the mix as well. Day Cream– I love the day cream! It is not heavy at all and I appreciate that I can place my foundation right on top of it and it doesn’t weigh my skin down. This also has an SPF 30 which is so important in a day cream. This formula combines the UV deflecting properties of Titanium minerals with protective ingredients to prevent sun damage, neutralize harmful free radicals, and keep away pollution damages.

Serum– Out of the 4 products in my personalized skincare kit, the serum is my favorite! You simply apply 2-3 drops on your face and let the magic happen. The serum gives your face a nice firm feeling without being greasy or overpowering. I like to take the serum as well as the Day and Night Creams all the way to my neck. Your neck can start to show aging very early on so it is important that we cover that area as well! In addition, it infuses your skin with a boost of anti-inflammatory benefits to instantly calm redness, rosacea and the most sensitive skin.

Night Cream– The Night Cream is fabulous! While it is a bit thicker than the day cream, it glides right on and you wake up feeling refreshed and your face is super soft! The night cream helps to reduce wrinkles and even your skin tone.

I love that FitFlop offers shoes which can worn both in the office and when you are on the run! There are so many cute trendy styles, and they are continually adding new pairs to the line.

The LULU Tortoiseshell-Print Cross Slides are sandals with the X factor. They sport chunky cross-over straps with a glossy, über-chic tortoiseshell-print patent. I love that these slides are classic and elegant all while boasting the FitFlop super-cushioned midsoles. I feel that this pair of shoes could take you from morning to evening or the office to errands with no problem. It is a wardrobe must-have! From the moment that I took them out of the box, I could not believe how comfortable that they were. There was no break in time and I immediately could feel the built-in arch contour. I literally feel like I am walking on clouds when I put these shoes on my feet. They are so comfortable and my bunions do not hurt at all!

The F-Sporty Überknit Sneakers are one of FitFlop’s best-selling sneakers and rightfully so! Once you slip on these sneakers, it feels like you are taking your weight off your feet. Seriously! These are super soft and stretchy all while being breathable and boasting the full-flex Anatomicush midsoles underneath for comfort that will blow your mind. I particularly enjoy that the F-Sporty sneakers have the look of a regular sneaker with adjustable laces, but you can slip them right on! The seamless built-in arch contour along with the midsole technology once again kept my bunions from hurting and my feet are couldn’t be happier! With both the LULU Tortoiseshell-Print Cross Slides and the F-Sporty Überknit Sneakers, I did size down ½ size. I typically am an 8 ½ and went with the size 8 in both pairs of shoes after reading the reviews. Both pairs of shoes fit me like a glove! If you have been thinking about giving FitFlops a try, I highly recommend that you try them!

I personally love shoes that can be dressed up or down. As a busy mom, I need shoes that can take me from dropping the kids off at school, to the grocery store, and FitFlops are the shoes to have in my wardrobe! As you can see from my pictures, I have on several different looks, but both the LULU Tortoiseshell-Print Cross Slides and the F-Sporty Überknit Sneakers are adorable with each outfit! I especially love how you can take a simple black dress and pair with both pairs of FitFlop shoes! You need to have shoes like this in your closet!

Review of LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta + Savings Coupon!

My family and I were recently traveling through Atlanta during the holidays and had the wonderful opportunity to visit the LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Believe it or not, LEGOLAND Discovery Center can be found on the third floor of Phipps Plaza, one of Atlanta’s most prestigious malls. LEGOLAND Discovery Center is the ultimate indoor LEGO playground with 2 rides, 10 LEGO build & play zones, a 4D cinema & much more! Since my boys are huge LEGO fans, there were super excited when they found out that we were going here! 

The first thing that you will notice when you enter, is a fun exhibit all about how LEGO bricks are made. You can even go on a behind-the-scenes Factory Tour to discover how LEGO bricks are made! This is fun for all ages! 

From there, we went on the Kingdom Quest ride. This indoor ride is all about capturing the Princess! Hop aboard your chariot on the Kingdom Quest ride to rescue her.This ride is suitable for children ages 4+. I rode with Brady our youngest, while my hubby went with Drew our oldest. They both thoroughly enjoyed as we were able to shoot targets throughout the ride.

Our entire family loved the LEGO 4D Cinema! While we were there, The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure was showing featuring Emmet, Wyldstyle, Benny, MetalBeard and Unikitty. It was so cute and had real effects like water, wind and more! There are several features available and they have new bricktastic news in store for 2019! 

There are lots of other things to see along the way at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, including Miniland. This was my personal favorite! It features Atlanta landmarks all built by LEGOS in day and night settings. In fact, Miniland is made from nearly 1.5 million LEGO® bricks, with moving cars and trains, so even the smallest spectator will feel like a giant! It is so cool! 

Other things to do at LEGOLAND Discovery Center include: Merlin’s Apprentice Ride, Pirate Adventure Island, Duplo Village, LEGO Master Builder Academy, Earthquake Tables, LEGO Friends, LEGO Racers: Build and Test, and the Ultimate LEGO Ninjago Experience. These activities are sure to keep your little ones busy for hours. They even have their own cafe which features beverages, snacks and other delicious foods. I noticed that their prices were very reasonable too!

No trip the LEGOLAND Discovery Center would be complete without visiting the LEGO Store! They offer LEGO sets, plush, toys and more!

Overall, we had such a fantastic time at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Atlanta, and I would highly recommend it if you live in the area or you are passing through! Have you tried Dunkin’ Donuts Fries yet? If not, you are totally missing out! These warm, buttery, crispy fries are tossed in sweet cinnamon sugar and are the perfect on-the-go snack! Review of Watermelon Ball Jr. from PlaSmart

Even though summer may officially be over, the heat wave continues in many parts of the country. Here in Florida, the temperatures are still in the 90’s! With temps like this, our weekends are still packed full of fun at the beaches and our local pool.

The folks at PlaSmart sent my family and I their Watermelon Ball Jr. to review, and the boys have had quite the time with it! The Watermelon Ball Jr. is designed to look, feel, and behave like a watermelon in water! Real watermelons are nearly neutrally buoyant: first sinking to the bottom then slowly rising to the top, making them ideal for all kinds of water games. The Watermelon Ball Jr. lets players dribble, kick, bounce, pass, and intercept under water. This fun ball allows you to combine components of football, basketball, and rugby right in the water!

How does the Watermelon Ball Jr. work? You simply fill the ball with water and get your game on! The extremely durable vinyl membrane stands up to intense action, features that are sorely missing from real watermelons. As you can see from the photo above, my son Drew has had so much fun dribbling the Watermelon Ball Jr. in the pool! I personally love the vibrant and bright colors that allow you to see the ball under water easily.
