The Home Depot: Free Kid’s Workshop on November 24th! (Build a Gingerbread Man Ornament)

On Saturday, November 24, from 9am-12 Noon, the Home Depot will once again be offering a Free kid’s workshop! For this month’s project, they will be making a Gingerbread Man Ornament. 

Run, run, run as fast as you can to this hands-on holiday workshop where you and your child can assemble a gingerbread picture frame that doubles as a Christmas ornament. Perfect for gifting or adding to the family’s heirloom holiday decor. Once the picture frame is built, your child can decorate it with paint and holiday stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

On Saturday, July 7, from 9am-12 Noon, the Home Depot will once again be offering a Free kid’s workshop! For this month’s project, they will be making a Fishing Game. 

Reel in the summer fun in our hands-on workshop where you and your child can build a fishing game while tackling educational and developmental skills. Once your fishing game is built, you and your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. Recommended Ages: 5-12. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Michaels: Free Slime Friday Class!

If you need something to do with the kiddos this week, register them for the Free Slime Friday Class at Michaels! I took the boys last week and they loved it! The theme this week is all about the stars so they are doing Milky Way slime! GO HERE to register your kids. If you can’t make it on Friday, there is also a class on Saturday from 1-3 pm.

A warm welcome to Tampa Bay’s Morning Blend viewers! I am so glad that you are here! If you are looking for fun, frugal and free things to do with your kiddos this summer, I have you covered! Summer fun with the kids doesn’t have to be expensive. Enjoy every moment this summer without breaking the bank.

  1. Free Movies at Cobb Theaters. $1 movies at Regal Cinemas. There are usually a couple of different options to choose from and these are the newer titles. My boys and I love to cool off from the summer heat and enjoy some good quality laughs together. Shhhhh…..I usually laugh more than my boys do!  😀
  2.  Kids Bowl Free- Kids Bowl Free allows kids to bowl 2 free games every day during the summer months. You will need to pay for shoe rental, but that is typically only a couple of dollars per each child. This is a great way to keep the kiddos active and out of the front of the television and off of video games.
  3. The Home Depot offers Free DIY kids workshops on the first Saturday of each month. I love that these workshops allow the parents to get involved with the kids! Children will also receive their own apron, commemorative pin and more. Supplies are provided by the store. This is a great way for kids to get creative! The next workshop is July 7, so sign up now!
  4. Michaels Arts and Crafts offers some fantastic arts and crafts classes for kids of all ages. Most classes are around $2-$5, but the slime classes are Free! I just signed my boys up for the slime class this Friday and they are so excited!
  5. RaceTrac is offering kids 12 and under Free 16oz. cups of SwirlWorld ice cream and toppings through the end of July! Just be sure to find a RaceTrac location that offers ice cream. What a fun way to cool off from the summer heat! YUM!
