Summer is in full swing and many of us are planning where to go, what to do and how to keep the kids busy during these busy months. With that being said, it is also a great time to find bargains on many things.
Swimwear/Lingerie– Most stores are offering great deals on swimwear for the entire family. I have discounts as much as 50% off. Don’t forget to check warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club for swimwear deals. I recently purchased my son Drew a pair of Nautica swim trunks for $12.97 at our local Sam’s Club. While shopping, I also noticed adorable women’s 2 piece swim sets for under $30. I have also noted that many stores are offering promotional offers on lingerie right now so it may be a great time to replenish if you need to do so!
Father’s Day Sales– Since Father’s Day is just around the corner, you may be able to find some great deals on items for dad. Check stores like Harbor Freight, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Lowe’s and The Home Depot. I often find that there are great bargains on items like tools and sporting equipment around this time of the year as most stores are trying to market around dads. I would especially be on the lookout for gift card with purchase promotional offers. Don’t forget about restaurant deals. Many restaurants will offer discounts or even freebies for Father’s Day so don’t forget to ask.
Dishes– June seems to be a popular month for weddings and retailers are competing for your gift budget. Prices will be slashed on many dishes and dinnerware items, so if you need to replace items this is a great month to do so! I have seen some great deals including gift card with purchase options so be on the lookout at your favorite department stores!
Semi Annual Sales– June is also a great month for semi-annual sales at stores like Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works. Many products are marked down as much as 75% off! I purchased hands soaps for $1.75 this week at Bath and Body Works so it definitely pays to stock up at these prices! I also like to buy items at the semi-annual sales for birthdays and the holidays. This is a great way for me to keep my gift closet stocked without breaking the bank.
Gym Memberships– Believe it or not, June is one of the best months of the year to buy a gym membership! The weather is at its peak so most people are enjoying the outdoors for exercise. With that being said, gyms want your business so they are offering incentives to get you inside their doors! In fact, you may even be able to negotiate a deal to your favorite gym! It doesn’t hurt to ask. I recently scored a great deal to my local YMCA. If you joined during the month of May, they were waiving the $100 Family Join Fee. That is a huge savings for my family of 4! I went ahead and joined during that time as I know that the boys and I will get so much use out of our local YMCA this summer!
Savings for the Great Outdoors– If you have been thinking about purchasing a new tent or other outdoor items, now is a great time to do so! Stores like Dicks’s Sporting Goods and even Amazon have had great deals on anything outdoor related. One idea is this Sport-Brella Vented SPF 50+ Sun and Rain Canopy 8 foot Umbrella for only $39.99! You can take this with you anywhere in the great outdoors!
