April showers are sure to bring May flowers! But for now, this month is showering us with super deals to take advantage of! Here are several things that you should consider buying during the month of April.
Gardening Supplies– April is National Lawn and Gardening Month, so we should be seeing great deals on gardening supplies. Check your favorite home improvement store fliers for deals like soil, seeds, plants and other gardening tools.
Patio Sets– In addition to gardening supplies, you may want to scour your local home improvement store for deals on patio sets. I have seen them priced as much as 50% off recently. You may also consider checking Amazon as they have some great options at remarkable prices. I love the Amazon option because the items are delivered right to my front door!
Spring Clothing– Most retailers are ridding their inventory of winter merchandise so now is the time to stock up on new spring items! I have seen sales for up to 75% off at places like Old Navy, Kohl’s, Macy’s and LOFT. Don’t forget to to stack your coupons with the sales and you will really score big. With my coupons and sales, I recently scored 2 pairs of booties for the fall at Bealls for $1.50! They were regularly priced $80 each!
Thrift Store Finds– Did you know that April and May are the best months to shop at thrift stores? According to the Salvation Army, “People tend to clear out their houses in April and May, causing donations of used furniture and household appliances to spike.” Many people are also cleaning out their closets, so you will also find a huge selection of clothing and shoes. I love thrifting! You can find name brand items for a fraction of the cost! With the big Marie Kondo trend as of late, I have heard that you can score some really great finds at thrift stores!
Vacuums– Since April is one of the busiest months of the year for spring cleaning, retailers tend to put vacuums on sale for great prices! I have seen great deals on Dyson, Shark and Bissell. Recently, Amazon has had some fantastic vacuum deals so don’t forget to check there as well.
Tax Day Freebies– For many of us, tax day is the most dreaded day of the year. However, there are many freebies that come with this day! Be on the lookout for deals from Sonic, Kona Ice, Boston Market, Great American Cookie, HydroMassage and more!
Car Accessories & Parts– Did you know that April is National Car Care Month? This means great deals at auto parts stores and car care centers. We will also see offers for tune ups, oil changes and more.
Mother’s Day Gifts– Mother’s Day is quickly approaching! Many stores are already rolling out Mother’s Day promotions on items like jewelry and perfume. Be on the lookout for gift card offers and free with purchase items. Buy now as the prices will tend to go up as we get closer to the big day.
