Tips for Saving on Fruit & Produce

image_1

I am always on the lookout for ways to save especially when it comes to items like fruit and vegetables. There are rarely coupons for produce items so when I can find a good deal, I jump on it!

I generally purchase most of my produce at Aldi. Not only do they have awesome prices, but the selection is also wonderful. Many Aldi stores are also now carrying some Organic items so that is also a plus!

Recently, I was at my local Dollar Tree Store just browsing and came across the freezer section. Did you know that they carry Frozen bags of fruit for just $1? I purchased Peaches, Strawberries and Strawberries. Now while this is by no means organic, it is a great deal! These bags of fruit are so nice for smoothies, or, I love to place the blueberries and strawberries on my Greek Yogurt for a morning snack. So yummy!

Another way to save on Fruit and Produce items is with the Target Cartwheel App. I often use this to save on things like bagged apples, berries and more. If you are not yet using the Target Cartwheel App, you really need to. Even if you do not like to coupon, this is an easy app that can be downloaded right to your Smart Phone or Computer. You can read my post on how it works HERE.

Also, there are many times when Target will offer Mobile coupons for Produce, Fruit, Dairy and Eggs. In fact, right now when you text SPRING CLEAN or THANKS to 827438 you will receive the following coupons via text:

  • $1 off fresh fruit purchase of $1 or more
  • $1 off fresh vegetables purchase of $1 or more
  • $1 off fresh meat purchase of $1 or more
  • $0.50/1 Dozen Market Pantry eggs

By using both sets of coupons you are getting $2 off Fresh Fruit, $2 off Fresh Vegetables and $2 off Fresh Meat. Who says that you can’t save on the healthier items?

Lastly, if there are products that you and your family enjoy on a regular basis, why not consider emailing those companies for those products to compliment them. Many times they will send you coupons in return! A compliment or complaint can go a long way!

What are your favorite ways to save on fruit and produce? I would love to hear!
