Today’s Daily Sweet fix is for: Perdue Chicken.
I am so excited to be bring the Daily Sweet Fix feature back to My Sweet Savings! If you are not familiar with this, we will be emailing companies and letting them know our thoughts on their products. The big thing with this is to just be honest! If you and your family like a product tell the company how much you like it. If you don’t really care for a product, or think that there can be improvements made to that particular product, let the company know that as well. Did you know that companies rely on us as the consumer for our feedback? This is a great way for your voice to be heard!
Please remember that not every company you email is going to send you a coupon for a FREE product. However, I find that many companies will send out high-value coupons as a way to thank you for your input and time.
I will list one company each day (Monday-Friday) for us to email. All you need to do is send a short email with your opinion on the product that I will be posting. Don’t make it long, just simple and to the point! I can’t wait to see what coupons that we will be receiving in the mail!

She had a super sweet trip to Publix and was able to score everything in the picture for $60! She SAVED over $105! She was able to score these deals by combining sales with store coupons, and manuf. coupons! Way to go, Kristi! 🙂

I was so excited when I received an email letting me know that Starbucks now has a Peppermint Mocha Flavored Ice Cream! Can you say, Yummo?
Now, this is not a deal, but I wanted to pass along a quick and easy recipe that you can use this yummy ice cream for: Peppermint Mocha Ice Cream Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
8 chocolate wafer cookies or your favorite 2 inch cookies
1 cup Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Ice Cream
DIRECTIONS:
Microwave Chocolate chips on high for 20 seconds in microwave safe bowl and stir.
Arrange 4 cookies on wax paper then drizzle with the melted chocolate.
Scoop out the ice cream and place on each undecorated cookie. Place the tops of the decorated cookie on top.
Place back in the freezer to harden.
Take out, Eat, and Enjoy!

I don’t know about you, but I find that adding meat to my stockpile at a great price can sometimes be a challenge when you are on a budget of $40 per week!
I do utilize Sam’s Club on a monthly basis, but usually strictly for meat purchases. I have found that in my area, Sam’s Club tends to offer the best meat prices. I love the big bags of frozen chicken breasts that you can purchase there as well as the big packages of Ground Turkey.
I do, however, want to share with you a little tip that I have been taking advantage of here lately. Did you know that many stores will mark down packages of meat early in the morning or at night before the store closes? These packages of meat are still fresh and in date, the store just wants to push these packages out the door to make way for the “newer” packages.
A couple of times a week, I will stop at the Super Target by my house after I drop Drew off at Pre school just to take advantage of this. They will have chicken, roasts, pork chops, fish and other items marked down at great prices! Recently, I was able to get packages of Perdue boneless skinless chicken breast for $2.50 per package!
Most stores like Winn Dixie and Sweetbay mark their meats down at night, so you may want to take a trip over there if you need meat added to your stockpile!

Today’s Daily Sweet Fix is all about signing up to have store-ads delivered right to your home mailbox on a weekly basis.
Did you know that you can sign up at many stores to have them send the weekly ad to your home address? Reader Dave recently shared with me that he asked at the Customer Service Desk at both Albertsons and Publix to have the weekly ad delivered right to his home. It appears that there are special forms that you can fill out at each store for this. In fact, Dave told me when signed up at Albertsons, the Customer Service Clerk told him that they get about 30 requests per day for this!
Now, I realize that some of you may not have Albertsons nearby as many of them have now closed. However, if you are within driving distance of one, I would recommend the trip. As you know, Albertsons often will have $5/50 coupons. These are great to use at Publix as well since they consider them a competitor.
Publix also offers great home-mailer coupons from time to time. I especially love it when they send out the $10/50 coupons in their weekly home-mailed ads!
Even if you do not have these particular stores in your area, stop by the Customer Service desk at your local store. You will be amazed at the good coupons and offers that you will receive just by signing up for a store’s mailing list!
So, don’t forget the next time that you are out grocery shopping to stop by the Customer Service Desk and sign up for weekly fliers to be sent right to your house!
