Today’s Daily Sweet Fix is all about using coupons on Trial/Travel sized products to get items for FREE! I discu

ssed this at the Couponing Seminar on Saturday and it was

such a big hit that I thought it would be good to share here! 🙂

Did you know that many coupons do not have a size restriction on them? If that is the case, you can use that coupon on a Trial or Travel sized item {if

the product is available} to get items for FREE! Please read the fine print carefully on each coupon to make sure that there are no size restrictions before buying the product. 🙂

Let me share with you some examples……

-In the most recent 8/1 P&G insert there was a coupon for $1 off any one Tide laundry detergent. There are no size restrictions on the coupon, so that means you can purchase the individual load Tide packets found in the travel section at Walmart and Target for $0.97 each and get them for FREE!

-In the 8/8 SS, there was a coupon for $2/2 ANY Shout products. In the travel and trial section at both Walmart and Target the 4 count packs of Shout wipes are sold for around $0.97 each. With this coupon, you can score 2 packs for FREE!

-In the 8/1 SS or from here, there was a coupon for $1 off ANY Clean & Clear product. In the travel and trial section at many stores, there are Clean & Clear prducts for under $1 each, so they would be FREE!

-You can find the trial sized Right Guard deoderants at many stores for around $1 each, use the $2/2 ANY coupon from here to get them for FREE!

-One last example- On the St. Ives Facebook page, you can get a coupon for $1 off ANY St. Ives product. The smaller lotions, body washes and scrubs are sold for under $1 at many stores, so you can get them for FREE with

the coupon!

Now, I know that some of you may be asking yourselves, “What do I want with a bunch of trial-sized products?” I find that these small items are perfect for adding into gift baskets or they are great to have on hand for traveling or donating to those in need! This also allows me to try products for Free or very inexpensive that I may have never tried before! If you are not going to use the coupons on

the full-sized products, why not get items for FREE?

I would also keep in mind that since many of these items will be less than the price of the coupon, you may need to have your store coupon policy with you to avoid problems at the register. It is the policy of most stores to adjust the price of a coupon down if it is more than the item that you are purchasing. You can GO HERE to print off a copy of the Target Coupon policy or GO HERE to print off Walmart’s coupon policy. 

I thought that for Daily’s Sweet Fix I would share with you another money-saving tip!

Do you or someone that you love take a medication that requires a refill each month? Or maybe your child unexpectedly got sick and you need to fill a new prescription? Did you know that many places like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Target, Kmart, Publix, Winn Dixie, and many other stores will often offer a gift card when you transfer or fill a new prescription with them?

In fact, CVS often looks at many of these stores as competitor’s and will accept their coupons! I recently had a refillable prescription that was at Target and decided to transfer it to CVS since they consider other stores a competitor. I was able t

o use a coupon that I had received in the mail from Kmart for a $25 gift card with a transferred prescription and CVS accepted i

t! My prescription was only $7 and I got a $25 CVS gift card to use on

the items that I need! Sweet deal! 🙂

In my Target ad yesterday, there was a coupon for a $10 Target gift card with a new or transferred prescription. If you don’t want to use it at Target, more than likely CVS would accept it! Don’t throw out your Target ad, go clip the coupon because y

ou never know when you may need it! The coupon in my paper is valid until August 30.

Just be on the lookout for coupons that will give you a gift card with new or transferred prescription! Every little bit helps in this world of saving our hard-earned money!

My Precious Gift-Drew!

Today’s Daily Sweet Fix is all about something that is very near and dear to my heart-Having a Date Day With Your Child!

I started having Mommy Drew Date Days a little while back now and lo

ve every minute of it! This Date Day is usually something on the inexpensive side, but I like for it to

also be an activity that Drew enjoys. For example, yesterday we went to Target to get a few deals, then we stopped by McDonalds and had $1.99

Happy Meals together! Then, when we came home, we went swimming for awhile.

Drew loves the one-on-one time with mommy and it makes him feel so special! Sometimes we will go to the library, I will take him to the mall and let him play then we get Dunkin Donuts as a treat, or, maybe it will just be a picnic at the park. Whatever you decide, it will be fun!

I think that I have been getting so sentimental lately as Drew is going to school in a few weeks! I can’t believe my baby is going to school! He will only be going for a few hours each morning, but as a mom, this makes me realize how big he is getting, and I am trying to treasure every moment with him.

It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but don’t forget to take time with your children…..they are a precious gift! 🙂

Today’s Daily Sweet Fix is all about donating your stock

If you are an avid couponer like me, I am sure that you have accumulated quite a large stockpile by now. I was going through my Health and Beauty Aid stockpile the other day and counted at least 40 bottles of body wash {mens and womens}! The deoderant and razor stash are not far behind! I know that sounds like an excessive amount of product to have on hand, but all of that has been FREE or I have paid pennies on the dollar for it! I have enough body wash and deoderant to keep us clean for year to come!

Now, I have to admit that I will often “buy” things even if I know that I won’t use that item. If an item is FREE. I am not going to miss out on being a blessing to someone else who I know will use that particular product. For example, We do not have pets, but there have been many ti

mes that I am able to get pet food and treats for FREE. I will “buy” the item then take it to church to hand out or give it to friends with pets. Another example, I do not have a baby any more, but this week at Publix the Sprout Baby food will be B1G1 Free. There is a B1G1 Free coupon in the Summer Savings booklet, that will make for FREE baby food with the sale and coupon!

With all of that being said, I want to challenge each of you to take a moment

to donate some of your stockpile to a family or friend in need. Don’t worry, I have already made several donations this week to some families that I know of who are hurting.

And, last week we had a men’s quartet at our church for special music. I took each of them one of the nice Schick razors and a bottle of Gillette Body wash. You would have thought that I gave them a million dollars! It was very much appreciated, and made me feel good as well!

Why not donate some of your stockpile to a homeless sheleter or your local Red Cross? I know that places like this would gladly welcome health and beaty aid products and baby items. There are also many places that are still accepting donations for Haiti or other countries that have been affected by devastation.

I have been so blessed with the ability to coupon and find good deals, that the least I can do is to give back to someone in need. What about you? Will you help someone in need today? I promise that you will be blessed far and above what you could have ever imagined and you will have a smile on your face the entire day!

If you are like me and out and about on a daily basis, you encounter a lot of people! Whether it be the cashiers that I encounter at the stores I frequent, or another mom that I may meet, I always try to be nice by spreading a little bit of kindness wherever I go. It may just be a kind word or smile, but I am always amazed at how far these little acts of kindness can go! My husband and friends laugh at me sometimes because I tend to start carrying on conversations with cashiers wherever I may be! I always try to remind myself that these cashiers or others that I meet may be having a horrible day or maybe they have things going on at home or a sickne

ss that no one knows about. My kind words or

smile may be the only bit of kindness that they will receive on that day.

arbucks drink recipe for you to indulge in! To

day’s recipe is for a homemade version of the White Chocolate Mocha. Can you say yummo?

STARBUCK’S WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA

 2/3-cup whole milk

6 tablespoons white chocolate chips

coffee

whipped cream

 **Add milk and chocolate chips to saucepan and heat until chips are melted.

Meanwhile make coffee in espresso machine, pour half of milk

mixture in coffee mug and fill rest of mug with coffee (saving enough room for

a dollop of whipped cream).

Enough for 2 mugs.
