From the time she was a child her and her mother always hunted for great finds at yard sales, flea markets and thrift stores and this love for the hunt has been engrained in her. She loves finding unique goodies and re-purposing what has been tossed aside.

Amy’s grandmother was very crafty and always had jars and jars of buttons and long vintage strands of beads that Amy loved to play and create with.  When she went to her grandmother’s house it was always a time for crafts; something she enjoyed!

Growing up in New England, and then having opportunities to travel parts of the world, has opened her eyes to style, color, textures and the truth that all women want something unique; to be fashionably different from the lady walking beside them.

After graduating with a Masters in Communications she began working on Capitol Hill and then on to various government agencies; although the work was challenging and interesting it lacked the outlet for creativity. She wanted the opportunity to create and share with others. She began creating jewelry and incorporating her market finds and decided it was time to not only wear her creations but to share them as well.  AmeliaLawrence was launched!
