It has been just under one month since I began the FASTer Way to Fat Loss, and I am super excited to share with you my thoughts on the program so far. I have seen some amazing results, and am feeling SO good! I have a lot of energy and feel very good about the whole nutrition that I am giving my body each day. The mission of FASTer Way has quickly become my mission and goal, “Don’t allow perfection to be the enemy of good. Commit to a healthy lifestyle and focus on making steps toward better health.” I definitely feel so much better about myself and am making great strides toward a healthy lifestyle thanks to this amazing program!

The FASTer Way to Fat Loss is not a diet. It is a lifestyle change that is composed of eating clean, whole foods. I have been eating gluten free and dairy free (as much as possible) and not missing those things at all! There is absolutely no deprivation with this program, and you eat a ton of food! There are some days that I have a hard time eating all my food! You will even have room in your macros for treats so don’t worry about feeling deprived of those things.

Intermittent fasting and carb cycling are also great tools and a big component of this program. Don’t let those terms scare you. Intermittent fa
sting is actually very simple and easy once you get the hang of it. I usually stop eating each night by 8-9pm and won’t break my fast until around 1pm the next day. You are actually doing most of your fasting while you are sleeping. And, you can still have coffee or tea. Just keep it under 50 calories and only use a Stevia to sweeten it. I take mine with Nutpods or Almond Milk and have not even missed regular coffee creamer. Oh, and let me tell you about my will-power when it comes to coffee. I am usually a big iced coffee drinker. Yes, you know the ones that are laden with sugar and cream. I have not even missed those drinks. In fact, I love my Starbucks with Unsweetened Almond Milk and Stevia now! Who is this girl? 😀
Carb Cycling, what is that and how does it affect the FASTer Way to Fat Loss? On Mondays and Tuesdays, we partake in Low Carb days and pair it with high intensity interval training workouts. These workouts can be done right at home or they gym. After the two low carb days we will refuel our body with carbs for the rest of the week. These days are my fave and I look forward to fueling my body with good carbs! This is such a great part of the program. Monday and Tuesday we are focusing on lower carb foods and filling our bodies with the good fats that we need, then, when Wednesday comes around we can eat yummy fruits, oatmeal, and other good for you-carbs to refuel!
Working out of the FASTer Way to Fat Loss has actually been a big part for me. I go to the YMCA at least 6 days a week and do spinning, leg machines and the treadmill. It does depend on the day of the week and what exercises you will need to focus on. As I mentioned before, you can do the exercises at home too if you don’t have access to a gym. You will be given a link when you sign up to view all the workouts. I highly suggest that you try to do something each day even if it is just walking. I have only missed going to the gym a few days and when I don’t get there I actually miss it!
What do I eat on the FASTer Way to Fat Loss? You will eat a TON of food! I cannot believe all the food that I get to eat each day and see such amazing results! I am going to share in pictures some of my meals and snacks from the past few weeks. My favorite way to break a fast on regular macro days is with a delicious Açaí Bowl or Overnight Oats. Low Carb Days I love bacon, eggs and guacamole! For snacks I love chicken salad, nuts, tuna, fruit and the list goes on and on! I will tell you that it is best to input your food the night before so that you are not scrambling the day of. Preparation is key to this program!

My thoughts so far? I love this program and actually plan to continue on for another 6 weeks when this round is over. It is sustainable, there is no depravation and it makes you feel so good about yourself. I know that I am giving my body the whole nutrition that it needs and that is so important! I went on vacation last week to Orlando and Boston with my husband and was still able to maintain my good eating habits and tracking. Even with the Fourth of July and vacation, eating out, and indulging on a few treats I maintained. If I can do this, you can do this! I promise! Don’t feel like you can’t enjoy a birthday or special occasion on this program. You can totally make it work! I am so motivated to continue on. I want this for me and for my health. You can’t afford NOT to take care of yourself! Self care is so important!
With all of the other “diet” plans that I have tried before, I was left hungry and wanting to eat more food. This program is so different. While you will eat a lot of food, (I eat over 1700 calories on most days) you will also gain freedom from food. You will crave those things that your body needs and have confidence to be a better YOU!
BEFORE DURING
I want to share with you a picture so you can see what I have experienced so far with the program. In less than a month, my legs have transformed a ton! I carry most of my weight in my hips/thighs so it is hard to lose. But it is coming along! Just look at that picture. In less than one month! I am blown away! Remember, it is all about progress over perfection! I can’t wait to continue on and see even more amazing results. What about the scale? I don’t get on the scale very often. In fact, it is encouraged from the FWTFL not to get on the scale. When I did get on a few weeks back I had lost over 5 pounds. To me, inches are more than pounds. Don’t go by wh
