I don’t
know about you all, but I am always on the lookout for ways to cut costs on my grocery bill. Granted, I do use alot of coupons at the grocery store; however, with that being said, I find that sometimes my local grocery store (Publix) just doesn’t have the best prices on meat.
One way that I cut costs on my meat budget is by shopping at Sam’s Club. I find that Sam’s Club offers really great stock up prices on meat, and to me, it is worth the yearly membership fee just to

save on meat. For example, just this week, I was able to find pork chops for $1.78 per pound. The $12 that I spent on a BIG package of pork chops was enough for 4 dinners! I also find that Sam’s Club offers a super price on Ground Turkey. Publix sells this for well over $3 a pound, but at Sam’s, I can get a 5 pound package for $10!
I also find that Sam’s Club has great stock up prices on chicken, eggs, and milk. Now I know that for many of us, buying in bulk may see a little excessive especially when you can get items for FREE or nearly for FREE at your local grocery store using coupons. Don’t think of warehouse clubs as a place just for purchasing bulk items. Why not stop by one the next time you have a few minutes? I think you may be pleasantly surprised! Lastly, not only do I love wholesale clubs for their great stock up prices on meat, but I also love the fact that I can get a discount on my gasoline. I don’t have to tell you guys how expensive gas is these days…..at over $3 a gallon, I look for any way possible to save on my gas expenses. I was able to get my gasoline for $3.03 per gallon today at Sam’s Club compared to the $3.08 at the gas station down the road. Now, I realize that is only $0.05, but that adds up after awhile. Plus, we are to be good stewards of our money, right? Every little bit is helpful!
