***Reposting for my new readers! Welcome to all the new readers from Saturday’s My Sweet Savings Coupon Seminar!
I have received several emails from people lately regarding how to recognize the difference between a Target Store coupon and a Manufacturer’s Coupon with a Target logo on it. I want to clarify the difference for you so you will know how to correctly use your coupons. I know that it can be very confusing, especially if you are just beginning this couponing journey! ![]()
Target Store Coupons:
-Target Store Coupons will have the words at the top of the coupon TARGET WEB COUPON. This will let you know up front that coupon is a STORE coupon.
-Target Store Coupons can be combined with manufacturer’s coupons to maximize your savings even more!
-You can combine one Target Store Coupon and one Manufacturer’s coupon per item. For example, I just posted about a new $1/1 Target Store Coupon for Q-Tips. That Target Store coupon can be combined with the $1/1 manufacturer’s coupon to get Q-Tips for just $0.39!
Manufacturer’s Coupons with Target Logo:
Manufacturer’s Coupons found on the Target Coupon site with the Target Logo are just that, Manufacturer’s coupons. Look at the top of the coupon, it will say, Manufacturer’s Coupons.
-Many people automatically think that since the Target logo is on the coupon, that it is a Target Store coupon. That is just not the case, and you need to look at your coupons very carefully! If the coupon says, TARGET WEB COUPON, you have a Target Store Coupon. If the coupon says, Manufacturer’s Coupon, but has the Target logo on it, you have a Manufacturer’s coupon.
-What about using Manufacturer’s coupons with the Target logo on
them at other stores? Can I do that? As long as the Manufacturer’s coupon does not say, Redeem Only at Target, you should be able to successfully use the manufacturer’s coupons from the Target site at other stores. This goes for other stores as well. If you find a manufacturer’s coupon with a Walgreens or CVS logo on it, you should be able to successfully use that coupon at other stores as long as it does not say Redeem Only at those specific stores. The manufacturer will still get reimbursed for the coupon. Just read your coupons very carefully and you should be good to go! ![]()
-If you shop at Publix or other stores, that consider Target a competitor, make sure that you are not double-dipping on your use of manufacturer’s coupons. For example, if Pop Tarts are on sale BOGO @ $2.39, you cannot use a Target manufacturer’s coupon for $1/2 packages and another manufacturer’s coupon for $1/2 packages. Please don’t be confused and think that the Target manufacturer’s coupon acts as a STORE coupon, it does not. Remember, if it says, Manufacturer’s coupon at the top and has a Target logo it is a Manufacturer’s coupon. Now, if the coupo
n says, TARGET WEB COUPON at the top, you could use successfully use both coupons on your Pop Tarts as long as your store considers Target a competitor.
-One last thing, did you know that you can easily distinguish a manufacturer’s coupon from a store coupon? Just take a look at the first digits of the coupon. If the coupon starts with the numbers 5 or 9, you have a manufacturer’s coupon!
*As always, I highly recommend to keep a copy of the Target Coupon Policy with you while shopping at Target!
I hope that this little bit of information will help you out in your Couponing adventure! Let me know if I can help answer any other couponing questions!
