This past Saturday my husband and I had the opportunity to visit the Tampa Auto Show as guests of Mazda. We were able to test drive several of the new 2015 vehicles at the Mazda Ride and Drive Experience. We also had a blast walking around the The Tampa Auto Show and seeing all of the different makes and models of cars.

If you have never been to an Auto Show before, this is a great way to look at cars and to do some research if you are in the market for a new vehicle. It is also great because you are in a no-pressure environment to buy a vehicle on the spot.

The Mazda CX-5 was definitely on my list of favorites! It is a sporty Compact SUV, has lots of passenger space and is super fun to drive. It is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and gets excellent gas mileage. This would be an excellent family vehicle! 

The Mazda 6 is stylish and one of the best family sedans around. It has a 184-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and drives like a dream. I was amazed at how quiet this car was on the road. It drives so smoothly and gets great gas mileage.

I can’t believe that Black Friday is right around the corner! Do you like to brave the crowds for die-hard bargains? Black Friday shopping has become a tradition for me. There is something about the thrill of the hunt with my favorite coffee in-hand that makes it so much fun! 

One of the places to score Black Friday bargains is your local Walmart. Walmart will offer Special Buys and Deals that you can’t find anywhere else. Be on the lookout for Walmart Black Friday Ads in your local newspaper as well as on the Walmart website. The deals are already starting to appear so don’t miss out!

If you are a die-hard Black Friday shopper, here are a few tips to remember:

1. Be prepared. Study the Black Friday ads and make a list of all the items that you are looking for. You can even research the layout of your store ahead of time to know exactly where to find items. Be sure to compare Black Friday ads for each store as you may be surprised to find that prices will vary from store-to-store.

2. Set a Budget. In the midst of all the bargains it is easy to get in a shopping frenzy. Designate a specific amount for each person on your list and don’t go over. This will keep your budget on track!

3. Crowds. Yes, there will be lots of people and crowds on Black Friday, so be prepared to stand in line for long periods of time. Be sure to dress comfortably! It is helpful to shop with a buddy so they can stake a place in line while you shop and vice versa. 

4. Price Match. Stores like Walmart will offer special price matching offers specifically for Black Friday so have your ads on hand and know the store’s price match policy. 

5. Store Hours. Know the store hours for each store that you will be shopping at. Some stores will open Thanksgiving night while others will wait until Black Friday morning. 

6. Email and Text Alerts. Sign up for email and text alerts to your favorite stores. Many times they will send out members-only coupons. 

7. Shop online. Many stores like Walmart will offer Black Friday pricing online. This allows you to get many of the same bargains online that you would find in the store. Shopping at home in your jammies has never been more fun!

8. Gift Receipts & Return Policies. Be sure to know the return policy at your favorite store. While many stores extend their Return Policy through January, some stores will be very strict on this. It is also important to get a gift receipt. This will make returning items so much easier.

The most important thing about Black Friday shopping…..HAVE FUN! This is a great time to go out with your family and friends and have a great time!

Last week I had the awesome privilege to attend a Fashion Blogger event at HSN (the Home Shopping Network). It was so much fun and we were able to get a behind-the-scenes glance at HSN and what takes place during a live taping of a Fashion segment.

On our backstage tour, I was amazed at the work that goes into one live broadcast. The sets are handmade and gorgeous! There is also a Beauty Bar and other sets just for Online productions and special photography sessions for product lineups. 

There are so many celebrities and designers that work with HSN on a daily basis. The day that we were at HSN, Giuliana Rancic was presenting one of her Jackets as a Today’s Special and we got to see her live on set. She is so cute and very nice in person! The founders of Snob Essentials Handbags were also in the house to sell their gorgeous handbags!

It is so hard to believe that this past weekend we celebrated July 4th! This is just the beginning of the Summer season and many of us will be spending alot of time outdoors! It is very important to make sure that you and your family’s skin is protected with a high SPF product.

My family and I had the opportunity to head on over to our local SONIC Drive-In this past Saturday morning for breakfast and I tried the Sausage and Egg White Burrito. It was so yummy and the egg whites were really good! Just by substituting egg whites for regular eggs in any of the SONIC breakfast items will reduce the total calorie count by up to 60 calories!
