If you are local to the Tampa Bay area of Florida and looking for a place to take your gently used Baby and Kids clothing, shoes, toys, equipment, etc…I highly recommend that you check out Once Upon A Child in Clearwater. The store opened its doors back in February and since then have had great success!
Not familiar with how Once Upon A Child works? It is super easy! You take them your gently used items any day of the week and after they have gone through the items, they will make you an offer and pay you CASH on the spot! Just make sure that your items are laundered with no rips, stains or tears. It is also an important tip to make sure that your clothing has been purchased within the past 5 years — this will give you the best value for your money. If the items are toys or Baby equipment, make sure that they are in good working condition. Yep, it is that easy!
I have been in the store 3-4 times now with items that my boys have outgrown. Each time I have been given a generous amount. I love that they give CASH right on the spot. Most Children’s Consignment stores work on a Credit-Only basis so this is super nice!
I have been very impressed at the stock of items that Once Upon a Child Clearwater has in their inventory. Each time that I have been in the store the racks are well-stocked with name brand items for both Boys and Girls. They also keep a nice inventory of Baby Equipment with items like Strollers, Baby Wraps, Toddler Beds, High Chairs, and everything in-between. You name it and they probably have it in stock!
I have to say that I am very impressed with the prices that Once Upon A Child offers their customers. Earlier this week I took some items in that they boys outgrew. I received $50 for the items. BUT, I turned around and spent $20 of that right in the store. I got Drew 2 pairs of shorts and 2 shirts. I got Brady a pair of swim trunks and a shirt and the adorable outfit he is pictured in below all for $20! AND, I left the store with $30 CASH in my wallet! It pays to take your items to Once Upon A Child and to shop there.
The owners of the store, Henna and her husband Simon are super sweet and remember me each time that I return to the store.
