If you are looking for a way to entertain the kiddos this Summer while challenging them to keep up with their reading skills, be sure to check out these Free Reading Programs!
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge– Through September 9, kids can register with the Scholastic Reading Program where they are encouraged to read as many minutes as possible. Kids will log their minutes online and earn prizes.
Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Triathlon– Through September 6, Barnes & Noble is hosting a Summer Reading Triathlon. Kids can earn a Free book in 3 easy steps. Have your child fill out the Summer Reading Triathlon Journal PDF and bring it to your local Barnes & Noble. Then, let them choose a Free book from the selection on the Reading Journal list at list at the store.
Pottery Barn Summer Book Club– Through August 16, Pottery Barn will be offering a Summer Book Club. Attend 5 Book Clubs and receive a Book Club Passport valid for $10 off one item.
TD Bank Summer Reading Program– TD Bank wants to encourage children to read and to learn about saving money.
Kids in grades K-5 can participate by following these easy steps:
Read 10 books this summer
Print out the Summer Reading Form
Write down the names of the books read on the form
Take the form to the nearest TD Bank
Receive $10 in a new or existing TD Simple Savings account
Family Christian Reading Program– This awesome program is valid through August 25 for kids ages 12 years of age and younger.
All the kids have to do is:
1. Read any six Christian books and explain one of the faith messages from each book in their Reading Adventures Diary.
2. Bring their completed diary to a Family Christian store between June 3 and August 25, 2016.
3. Choose a FREE book—and their next adventure. Don’t live by a store? Send your completed forms, mailing address and free book pick to customerservice@familychristian.com.
Chuck E. Cheese Reading Program– When your child reads 2 weeks in a row they can earn 10 FREE tokens!
BookAdventure.com– Book Adventure wants to encourage your children to read. Kids in grades K-8 can search for books, read them offline, come back to quiz on what they’ve read, and earn prizes for their reading success.
Lifeway Christian Summer R.E.A.D. Program– Join us on our 2016 summer reading journey, June 1 to Aug. 31. We want to help you and your family promote the love of reading in your home as well as encouraging the love of God’s Word through reading His Scripture. This program is geared toward grades 1 through 6, but all are welcome to join in the adventure.
Read six books over the course of the summer and memorize six Scripture verses. Turn in a completed summer reading journal at your local LifeWay store to earn a free book and a new free Bible.
Public Library– Be sure to check out your local Public Library as they generally offer many Free Reading programs during the Summer Time.
