One of the questions that I am most often asked is “How can you use a Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) coupon in conjuntion with a Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) sale?”
First of all, you will need to check your store’s coupon policy to make sure that they allow this. Many stores like CVS, Walgreens and Publix do allow this, but check your stores policy first!
Also, this logic will only work in areas where there is a “True BOGO” Sale meaning the first item rings up full price and the second BOGO item rings up as $0.00. If the store BOGO items ring up Half-price then this logic that I am going to explain will not work.
Here is how to utilize a BOGO Sale with a BOGO coupon:
When the store offers a BOGO Sale we pay for one item and the store will give us the other item for FREE.
If you have a BOGO coupon to go along with the BOGO sale your coupon will pay for that item giving you both items for FREE!
Recently, Publix had 2 liters of Dr. Pepper Ten on sale Buy One Get One FREE @ $1.99 and I also had a coupon for Buy One Get One FREE Dr. Pepper Ten 2-liters to use with the BOGO Publix sale.
Here is how this worked:
One Dr. Pepper Ten 2-liter was FREE with the in store BOGO promotion.
The second 2-liter was FREE with the BOGO coupon. The coupons cancel each other out making both FREE!
