Have you had the oil in your vehicle changed recently? Since Summer is now in full swing, I know that many of us will be taking long road trips. One of the ways that we can help to ensure our car’s running ability is to make sure that the oil is changed on a regular basis.
Motor Oil Matters or MOM, is the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) new Consumer education and industy watchdog program that was established to stress the benefits of quality licensed motor oils.
If you are like me and not very knowledgable when it comes to car-related issues, Motor Oil Matters was formed to help understand what important things to look for at your next oil change. In fact, MOM has put together a checklist of important things to look for during your next oil change. One key thing is to make sure that your service provider is using a quaility motor oil in your vehicle. Some service providers may be quick to use inexpensive motor oil in your vehicle which, in the long run of things, may actually cost you more money for vehicle maintenance fees.
Make sure that you use MOM’S Oil Change Checklist, the next time you need your vehicle’s oil changed. You can download the MOM Oil Change Checklist HERE. This checklist was very helpful to me and showed me just what I needed to look for at my next oil change.
