To Yard Sale or Not To Yard Sale? (see my FABULOUS finds!)

One of my FAVORITE hobbies is yard saling. You can find so many bargains and neat items that folks just don’t want any more. What’s that saying, “Another person’s trash is another person’s treasure?” That is definitely the case in my opinion!

You can find pretty much anything and everything at yard sales. Many times items are brand new with the tags still attached or in “like new” condition. I have found brand name clothing, shoes, handbags, kitchen items and accessories and so much more for way less than you would pay at the store. Many times items are under $1 and that is definitely a bargain in my book! Yard saling is just another way to keep your family on a budget without sacrificing brands or those items that you “wish” you could own.

While we were on vacation in New York visiting my in-laws we went yard saling. Let me first tell you that my in-lawas are “seasoned” yard salers! They go every weekend and the yard sales in New York are simply FABULOUS to say the least!

I wanted to share with you first-hand a couple of my finds so that you can see for yourself just what kind of items you can find at yard sales.

I had been wanting a nice Sear pan for meats, but definitley did not want to pay a high price tag. I saw this gorgeous Staub Porcelain Skillet at one of the yard sales and just knew it was for me! I know that I had heard of the Staub brand before and was trying to remember where I had see it before. The lady selling the pan told me that she had paid $125 for the pan at Williams and Sonoma and it was mine for only $2!!!! It is like Brand New–Can you imagine? Sure enough, I went back to my in-laws house and looked on the Williams and Sonoma Site. This same pan is still sellilng for around $125!

My second find that I wanted to share with you is this ADORABLE Vera Bradley bag. I am normally a “Coach” bag girl, but have always wanted a Vera bag to add into my collection. This Vera Bradley bag was marked $5 but it does have a few tiny marker stains (hardly noticeable) and the lady sold it to me for $2! This bag new sells for well over $60 so what a bargain!

Do you love to yard sale and have some great finds that you would love to share with us? Please feel free to do so! :D
