I have received numerous emails from readers lately asking me this question, “How do you use a BOGO coupon on a Buy One Get One FREE sale?” I thought that it may be helpful to break it down a bit so that you understand how this works….
Many stores like Walgreens, Publix and CVS often run BOGO promotions. Here lately it seems that there have been some really great BOGO coupons to go along with these sales.
For example, last week at Walgreens, the Clean and Clear Body Wash was BOGO. There was a BOGO coupon in a recent insert….here’s how it plays out:
Take 2 Body Washes to the Cash Register.
One Body Wash will be FREE with the in store BOGO promotion.
The second Body Wash becomes FREE with the BOGO coupon. The coupons cancel each other out making both FREE! Just be sure to check the maximum value on your coupons as sometimes they are for less than the item which you are purchasing. If that is the case, most times, you will just have to pay a small amount plus the tax on the products.
Also, it is important that you check your local stores coupon policy to see if they allow this. Most stores do allow it, but it is important to check before you get to the cash register and have an issue.
I hope that helps answer your question regarding this matter! 🙂
