My Precious Gift-Drew!
Today’s Daily Sweet Fix is all about something that is very near and dear to my heart-Having a Date Day With Your Child!
I started having Mommy Drew Date Days a little while back now and love every minute of it! This Date Day is usually something on the inexpensive side, but I like for it to also be an activity that Drew enjoys. For example, yesterday we went to Target to get a few deals, then we stopped by McDonalds and had $1.99 Happy Meals together! Then, when we came home, we went swimming for awhile.
Drew loves the one-on-one time with mommy and it makes him feel so special! Sometimes we will go to the library, I will take him to the mall and let him play then we get Dunkin Donuts as a treat, or, maybe it will just be a picnic at the park. Whatever you decide, it will be fun!
I think that I have been getting so sentimental lately as Drew is going to school in a few weeks! I can’t believe my baby is going to school! He will only be going for a few hours each morning, but as a mom, this makes me realize how big he is getting, and I am trying to treasure every moment with him.
It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but don’t forget to take time with your children…..they are a precious gift! 🙂
