Does God ever bless you and your family in an unexpected way? I know that for me, God blesses me more than I could ever deserve on a daily basis. Since my husband was laid off from his job, I have really been trying to focus on life’s blessings even more and to not take them for granted! Whether that be finding a bargain at a store, or being able to make someone else’s day with a smile or kind word, or receiving a special note from a friend-these are little blessings that we need to be aware of.
It is so easy to get caught up in the everyday activities that come our way and to forget about those little blessings that God wants to give us!
I wanted to share with you all a HUGE blessing that our family received today! The Condominium development that we live in is surrounded by snow-birds from the North and Canada. We have some really sweet neighbors, and it sad to see them leave! The older couple that lives on the other side of us are from Canada. They live here for half of the year then head back to Canada during the warmer months. They are heading back to Canada tomorrow an this morning they knocked on our front door and asked us if we had room in our freezer for some things. Well, of course, we said yes! The next thing we know, they brought us over 2 whole crates of steaks, shrimp, chicken, veggies, and other goodies! I wanted to cry it was such a blessing!
Now, as you know, I am a big stockpiler; however, meat can be on the expensive side! This was a HUGE blessing! I had to make room in the freezer to fit all the goodies that they brought us! Isn’t that amazing? I can honestly say, “God is good all the time!” Even in the midst of life’s most difficult moments!– Psalm 84:11
