Before I get to this week’s challenge, I have to admit that last week I did not get my grocery challenge posted. I became sick with strep throat and did not get pictures of my stash. I did make it to the store before I got sick but I have no pictures to show you–sorry! I did however, stay in my budget. After a trip to Sams for some meat, my weekly Publix trip, and the Produce Market, I stayed on track of my $40 budget. I used up most all of my budget, so I am starting this week with $40 in cash! 🙂

Here are the pics and details of my Publix trip last night. I SPENT: $13.55 and SAVED: $81.28!

-4 packs of Dixie Paper Plates (had raincheck for BOGO @ $2.65 each) = $5.30

  used 4 .55/1 manuf. coupons = $3.20 for packs of paper plates!

-2 packs of Dixie Napkins @ $2.69 each

  used 2 peelie coupons for FREE Dixie napkins when you buy Dixie paper plates = 2 FR

-2 packages of Knox Gelatin @ $1.39 each = $2.78

  used 2 $4/1 manuf. coupons = FREE + overage!

-4 packages of assorted (trial-sized) 2 ct. DayQuil and Nyquil @ $1.29 each = $5.16

  used 4 $1.50/1 (ANY and does not exlude trial size) Vicks manuf. coupons

= FREE + overage!

-2 packs of Puffs tissues @ $1.99 each = $3.98

  used FREE Puffs tissue manuf. coupon when you buy 2 Vicks products = 2 FREE boxes of Puffs Tissue!

-1 lb. of bananas @ .69

  no coupons–needed as small filler item = .69

-10 packages of assorted Breakstones Doubles Cottage Cheese with Fruit @ $1.00 each

  used $1/1 coupons from the Healthy Wallet Happier You booklet found at Publix = 10 FREE Breakstones Doubles! Yummy!

-1 package of Beef Stew meat @ $3.05

  no coupons–needed for my yummy Beef Stew dinner last night! 🙂

–1 gallon of Lactaid Milk @ $5.39

  no coupons–Drewbie needed milk = $5.39

-1 package of Golden Oreo Double Stuf cookies @ $3.19 each   

  used FREE coupon from Facebook promo = FREE!

-1 package of Oreo Cakesters @ $3.39 each

  used 8 $1/1 manuf. coupons = $3.92 for 8 meals!

-4 bags of Goodlife Cat food BOGO @ $4.49 each (I don’t even have a cat-LOL! I bought it to give to some

people in my church) = $8.98

  used 4 $2/1 manuf. coupons = .98 for 4 bags of cat food!

-minus $5/50 Publix coupon

I also stopped by Walgreens for som

e canned mushrooms @ .50 each and I did the Target Keebler Cookie Gift card deal (will post about that next) After all that, I still have almost $20 left of my weekly grocery budget for the week and I got back a $5 Target gift card! I plan to ROLL my Target gift card by doing the Special K Bar deal tomorrow! Stay tuned for the sweet details! 🙂

Wow! I am sooo excited about all of these awesome high-value coupons lately! Right Guard has a *HOT* $1.50/1 coupon for their new Right Guard Total Defense 5 deoderant! CVS and Walgreens often have Right Guard on sale, so this is going to make for a sweet deal!

Wow! Cetaphil has a great high-value printable coupon! This is sure to make for a sweet deal!
