Today after my sweet trip to Walgreens I decided to head over to my local Produce market for some fresh veggies. Then, after I took my little boy to the Library, we headed to Publix for a few things. Here is what I got for around $12!
Produce Market
-1 head of lettuce @ $1.19
-1 bulb of fresh green onion @ .59
-1 bag of baby carrots @ $1.39
-4 multi colored peppers @ .50 for all 4!!! I love the produce market’s prices! 🙂
-1 lb. of bananas @ .49
Publix
-2 bottles of Sundown vitamins @ $2.99 and $3.29. Used 1 $1/1 manuf. coupon stacked with the $6/2 Publix coupon = FREE + overage!
-2 boxes of Morningstar Veggie Chix Nuggets BOGO @ 3.99 each minus 2 $1/1 IP coupons found HERE = $1.99 for 2 boxes!
-1 bottle of La Choy Sweet and Sour sauce- no coupons, but I needed it for my Sweet and Sour Chicken tonight for dinner! = $1.89
-1 box of Minute Brown Rice @ $2.19 minus .50/1 coupon from 1/24 SS = $1.69
-1 box of Knox gelatin @ $1.29 each minus $4/1 coupon for ANY Knox product from 1/24 RP = FREE + major overage!!

Drew is no longer in diapers or pullups, but I am stocking up for baby showers and just to have these on hand for donations!

So, after all my bargain-hunting adventures today, I have $28 left for the week in grocery cash! I have to say that I really am enjoying paying cash up front for all of these purchases! It really helps to keep me accountable! Hubby really loves it too! 🙂

This week, Walgreens has Sure Men’s deoderant on sale 2 for $3 with the in-ad coupon. In the 1/24 RP, there were coupons for $1.50/1 Men’s Sure deoderant. That would be FREE!
Also, Men’s Pert Plus is on sale 2 for $5. When you buy 2, you will receive a $2 RR. There were coupons in the 1/24 RP for $1/1 Men’s Pert Plus. Use 2 $1/1 coupons, pay $3 OOP and receive back a $2 RR. After RR, you will have spent just $1 for 2 bottles of shampoo! This is the way to build up your HBA stockpile! 🙂
Lastly, thanks to my friend Crystal for telling me about this deal. Reach dental flossand toothbrushes are on sale for just .99 with the in-ad coupon. Use the $1/1 coupon from the 10/4 RP to score FREE floss and toothbrushes! This may not fly at some stores, but techically, the cashier should adjust the coupon down to .99 since that is what you are paying for the product.

Remember yesterday when I posted about all that really cheap Natural Instincts hair color and FREE Bayer monitors? Well, if you remember from my post, I had $15 in Register Rewards to use! My hubby was wanting some Pepsi so I decided to do the RR deal Buy $20 of selected Pepsi and Tostitos products receive back a $10 RR.
While I was at Walgreens I spotted (in the regular laundry detergent aisle) the big 100oz. of Gain clearanced at $10.79. I had remembered reading on Hot Coupon World yesterday that people were finding these for just $3.79! There were 2 bottles left on the shelf and I had a sneaking suspicion that when I had the cashier price check it that it would ring up $3.79. Sure enough, it did!!!!!!!!! Woohoo! I can’t tell you how happy I was! Gain is my favorite laundry detergent ever! I know that I just bought all that All at Wal-Mart last week, but it’s not like laundry detergent ever expires! 🙂 And, I have alot of my grocery cash left for this week so I got both bottles. The 100 oz. bottle normally sells for $14.99!!!
My point to all this is–please have your cashier price check the clearanced items! They may actually be cheaper than what they are marked! I have found that Walgreens is notorious for this! 🙂
So, here is what I ended up getting:

So in the end I spent OOP (out of pocket) $12.80 , but I got back another $10 RR to use for a future trip to Walgreens! After RR, it was like I only spent $2.80 for all that!
I was so excited and could not wait to tell you all about the laundry detergent! Run, don’t walk to your local Walgreens to see if they have this on clearance! Remember to price check! 🙂
