~Thrifty Thursday Tip:Making your own Holiday drinks at home!~

I know that you have heard me say on more than one occasion about how much I love Peppermint Mochas and  Pumpkin Spice lattes at Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. Well, those yummy drinks can get quite expensive after awhile, right? It is well over $4 now for a Peppermint Mocha Latte at Starbucks! Wow!!

I have found that General Foods International (from the makers of Maxwell House Coffee) make a Peppermint Mocha and Pumpkin Spice coffee powdered beverage mix that you can add to hot/cold milk or water and it tastes just like these high-priced drinks but for a fraction of the price! You will need to look for these in the coffee aisle of your store–they are priced in the $3 range, but there are at least 15-18 servings per can! If you want to go all out, you could even add a flavored creamer for more indulgence! Yummo! I have seen coupons for these before as well! Today I splurged at Target and bought one of the new flavors~ Raspberry Truffle Latte~doesn’t that sound divine?

If you are looking for a way to jazz up your coffee, you should try the International Delight Chocolate Mint Truffle creamer! It is so yummy too! While at Publix today, I noticed that they also have a White Chcolate Raspberry creamer! I did not have my coupon with me for it, so I passed this time! 😉 Coffeemate also makes a great Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread creamer!

I love to splurge every once in awhile on my favorite drinks at Starbucks & Dunkin Donuts, but I also want to save my hard-earned money! By making experimenting and making my favorite drinks at home, I can enjoy several different flavors, for a fraction of the price!

Have fun and save money making your favorite holiday drinks at home! 😉
